Co-organizer of the thematic exhibition and workshop. Creation of a replica of a smelting furnace as an experimental archaeology project with the aim of copying, recognizing, and confirming the technological process of smelting iron ore in a given historical period. After excavation - analysis, interpretation, and publication of archaeological finds from settlement units (late medieval finds), which are partly the theme of his doctoral dissertation. Time dedicated to the project: 20% working time.
Curriculum vitae
Robert Čimin was born in Koprivnica on April 26. 1982. In 2001. he enrolled the study of Archaeology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Studies in Zagreb. During his faculty education he was involved in numerous archaeological excavations during which he gathered valuable field experience. Throughout his studies he destines for the archaeology of the Middle Age period on which he continues to perfect himself. In the fall of 2006, under the supervision of Krešimir Filipec, phd., he graduates on the topic "Fort Čanjevo - analysis of the movable archaeological material". The same year he enrols the second level of Master studies at the Faculty of Human Studies of the University of Primorska in Kopar. Under the supervision of Mitja Guštin, phd., he finishes these studies by the beginning of 2008 defending his paper "Glazed tableware on the territory of Northern Croatia from 15th to 18th century", receiving so the title Master of Archaeology. In 2012. he enrols the doctorate at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Studies of the University in Zagreb. In his dissertation he plans to work on the Medieval period of the Drava river basin. During the period between 2006 and 2008 he is an employee of the Archaeological service of the Croatian Conservation Institute, where he mainly works on preventive archaeological researches all over Croatia. Since 2008 he works in the Koprivnica City Museum as a curator and the director of the Archaeological and Numismatic department.
During the last five years he directed several archaeological projects: 2009 – 2012 Systematic archaeological excavations of the St. Martin church in Virje (Late Medieval church and cemetery); 2012 – 2013 Archaeological excavations of the southeast bastion of the Koprivnica city fortress due to its revitalisation; 2013 Archaeological excavation of the Medieval village Mekiš - Zgruti near Podravske Sesvete (Developed and Late Medieval period); 2013 Archaeological excavation of the Medieval fort Kamengrad in Starigrad (Late Middle Ages); 2014 Archaeological excavation of the multilayered site Ruškova Greda, situated on the north of Podravske Sesvete (Late Bronze Age, Developed and Late Middle Ages, Early Modern period); 2014 – 2015 Preventive archaeological excavation of the St. Nicola Bishop church in Koprivnica (Romanesque and Gothic period church and cemetery); 2014 – 2015 Systematic archaeological excavations of fortress Gorbonok in Kloštar Podravski (Late Medieval period).

Since 2012 he is the chief editor of the Koprivnica's City Museum annual publication Podravski zbornik.
