ANALYSES OF POTTERY

27th July – 17th August 2020

During Summer of 2020, analysis of ceramic material from the excavation of the archaeological site Kalinovac – Hrastova greda in 2019 was carried out. About 92 more or less complete pottery vessels or fragments of ordinary cooking pots together with 14 small items (whorls, glass and stone beads, microliths etc.) were selected and separated for drawing in 14 work days. In total, 998 digital photographs were made (Tajana Sekelj Ivančan).

 

9th – 11th August 2019

During August 2019 analysis of the ceramic material from 2018 excavation at Hlebine-Dedanovice site was carried out. About 30 more or less complete ceramic vessels or fragments of ordinary kitchen pots, one whetstone and a fragment of a glass vessel were selected for drawing. A total of 667 working photographs were taken.

 

2nd – 11th August 2018

During August 2018, analysis of ceramic material from the excavation of the archaeological site Hlebine-Velike Hlebine in 2017 was carried out. About 45 more or less complete pottery vessels or fragments of ordinary cooking pots together with 14 small items (whorls, sand stone, bronze pendant etc.) were selected and separated for drawing in 8 work days. July - August 2017

During Summer of 2017 analysis of part of the ceramic material from the location of Virje-Sušina was carried out. Two closed archeological units from the early and developed Middle Ages with nine stratigraphic units were analyzed together with pieces of baking trays collected during the research in probes 7, 8, 10 and 11. For drawing, 79 pieces of pots from structure 1 and 24 partially preserved vessels from structure 2 were selected (Tajana Sekelj Ivančan).
